The bike in the spotlight this time is a Peugeot Record du Monde from the 1980s. A type that was very popular at the time and can still be found quite easily on 2nd hand websites or vintage bicycle markets.

Nice about this bike is that certain components such as the rear derailleur from Simplex are provided with decals from Peugeot. The crankset is even engraved with the Peugeot logo.

The Peugeot Record du Monde was a very popular bike and was equipped as standard with a Simplex group, an Atax Guidon Philippe handlebar, an Atax stem and Mafac brakes.

To give a little variation to the model, decals were used that refer to the most important cols of France: Galibier, Izoard, Tourmalet, …

The tubes used were either Reynolds or Vitus.
