The bicycle in the spotlight is a hybrid of the bikes that the Daf-trucks-Côte d’Or-Gazelle formations rode on the road in 1981 and the Skala-Skill-Gazelle formations in 1985 and 1986.

The Gazelle Daf Trucks Cote d’Or cycling team that raced with the mentioned model in 1981
Rein Groenendaal (father of Richard Groenendaal) with his Gazelle Champions Mondial in 1985 at the Skala Skil Gazelle team

Owner is P.J.Francke who built this beautiful model from scratch with Campagnolo parts from before 1986, when Campagnolo was still the undisputed market leader. He had them in the attic until now and after all these years finally found some time to use them on a suitable bike, namely the Gazelle Champion Mondial

The beautiful result can be admired in the photos.
